This is a two-day course primarily aimed at health and safety representatives elected under the Health and Safety in Employment Act, or people training for this role. The course consists of five sections or elements that aim to give participants an understanding of the principles of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and its application to employees, employers and health and safety representatives. It aims to give participants an understanding of their responsibilities and duties and how to undertake these. The course will be available in all the main centres, and in the regional areas by arrangement.
