Building Productive Employment Relationships (Stage 2) Rights and obligations in the workplace

This is a course for PPTA Branch officers and PPTA members who have completed the Stage 1 course and who are interested in extending their participation in union activities.

This is a two-day course, with the days separated by between four and eight weeks to allow participants to investigate within their workplaces issues raised during Day 1.

Young Teachers Training Seminar

The aim of this course is two-fold: to introduce young teachers to the structures of PPTA so they will feel confident to participate in union issues; to provide knowledge of the context within which their conditions of service derive - eg. legislation, collective agreements, Treaty of Waitangi, etc.

he aim of this course is for participants to gain an understanding of the policy making process and how to advance this within the PPTA; how to use the PPTA problem solving process within the workplace; and how to negotiate over workplace issues.
