This course has been designed for nominated health and safety representatives, and company supervisors who are part of an employee participation scheme. The key object of the course is for participants to gain knowledge and insight of the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act, and be able to effectively implement those requirements within their workplace.
It is intended that course participants will develop knowledge and understanding of their role as a nominated health and safety representative or a key member of a company health and safety team, and how to implement an employee participation scheme effectively. The course will focus specifically on communication skills including good faith communications with key people and organisations, and will also focus on hazard identification and management, including the issuing of hazard notices.
